Sooo cute! Dora was very nice, the whole process was smooth, and the nail oil looks good quality. The reason of not giving 5 star is I asked if they offer free remove i go back and do something else next time, she didn’t answer it. Also I paid $45 but didn’t see Shellac is $45 on the website, can you please explain?

I went for a shellac mani a week ago. The booking system was easy to follow and use, I liked the website and had some questions which the lady was very polite and patient with answering when I called. When I got there for my appointment I was happy to be able to start right away and my nail stylist was very friendly and polite. So the overall experience was positive until two days after I the nails started to come off on the edges which is very soon!
In my other experiences the nails would last at least 1 or 1.5 weeks before this happen and that's with more washing without gloves. So I was disappointed that even though I took precautions (wearing gloves when washing) half the nails are already starting to come off just within the first week.
I'm open to going back to try again because I appreciate the friendliness and the store is nice but might try a few other places which might provide the service at a lower price and do a better job first.

After my review initial review (where I have a rating of 3 with the above feedback) I was contacted and they provided to redo my nails for free. I appreciated the offer and took it up and this time the quality was much much better.
The nail technician provided more care and after one week the nails are still in good condition. I'd go back again but at this point would still be considering other options in the vicinity as well.

Giving 2 stars as the salon is clean and observed many covid19 rules to prevent spread. However, for a $100 shellac manicure & pedicure I’d expected a much better service. Everything went ok this morning with the manicure but during the pedicure, my big toe nail was cut too deep and I started bleeding. It was quite painful and I was expecting the manicurist (a young petite Asian lady) to quickly use something to stop the bleeding and sanitize the wound. I waited for a while expecting her to do that and perhaps say a word of sorry but it never came. Instead she said ‘oh yeah I cut too deep’ and instructed next to put my foot back into the water. Unfortunately, the pain was still throbbing after my foot was out and I requested her to please help me stop the bleeding as it was hurting. Only then she apologised, I couldn’t help but wondered if she would have done anything at all if I hadn’t requested. I was still charged full price as though the entire experience went perfectly well. I am sure the manicurist could tell that I wasn’t feeling too happy. There was another staff in the salon who came to assist her during payment and she was definitely kinder and more empathetic about the situation which I really appreciated. I hope the management of Le Laque will look into this feedback and handle customer service recovery methods a little better. Not sure if I’ll return next time.

The entire design of this place is really nice and the quality of the work was pretty good as well. However, the customer service was awful. The woman who schedule the appointment was really rude, with a lot of attitude. Moreover somehow the prices are really high on my taste. From my perspective, when I am coming in my day off to do my nails,I expect to enjoy the service. Not coming back, not recommended
