A must visit if in the area. And there's a cafe on site!!

A good space geeks must make a pilgrimage to Parkes at least once in their lives! A wonderful time capsule on display for us all to see. We even were treated to see the Dish move, which was far too cool to witness. There is a great information center there full of wonderful teaching displays. Interesting to children, teens and adults. A complete win. Also, they have an apple tree that was taking from a cutting from the actual tree that dropped the apple on Sir Issac Newton’s head....a rare, unexpected treat to see living history.

Well worth the trip. Highly informative free museum and history for "the dish". Also a 3D cinema shoe for a small price $7 which last approx 30 mins and is worth doing. Good gift store, great photography gallery. Cool sun dials outside and the cafe is also nice. Toilets clean, parking easy. A great experience all round.

Great to see the famous "Dish". Lots of science toys and books in the gift shop. Awesome for anyone into astronauts and space!
